Manifestations Of Autism
What are the mental disorders in which a person is mentally retarded without physical manifestations?
I’m not talking about Down’s syndrome, Cretinism and similar disorders where the patient has stunted growth, protruding tongue, idiotic expression etc. I wanted to know about any disorder in which the person appears normal but mentally is not as mature as his/her age, e.g. a 30yr old man who exhibits the behaviour and emotions of a 12yr old. Maybe adult autism…..but again, autistic people have sharply discrete abnormalities in their behaviour. What do you think?
