The Universal Law of Attraction – Why It Might Not Work for You

The Universal Law of Attraction. Everyone has heard about it. It is supposed to be a genie in a lamp. Just rub the lamp, let the genie come out, tell it what you want and then, shazaam – you get your wish. 

 

Sounds too good to be true? Sounds easy? While it is true, it is not necessarily so easy to put into practice.

 

There is a Universal Law of Attraction which is one of the most powerful metaphysical laws. It is able to bring you your heart’s desire – and more. However, you have to do a little more work than just deciding what you want and then expecting a magical genie to bring it to you. 

 

Here’s how the Universal Law of Attraction really works.

 

There is an Infinite Intelligence that exists throughout the universe. It is all power and it is able to create anything.  You have access to this power through your thoughts.  Whether you realize it or not, it is bringing to you those situations that correspond to your conscious or unconscious thoughts. Often your unconscious thinking is negative, which is why you might have challenging circumstances in your life — it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

 

This is what usually happens. You think about what you want — a desire.  You tell yourself that you are going to ask the law to bring it to you. Great. Then you start to worry that it won’t happen. You begin to have doubts. You begin to think that the law is just a bunch of nonsense and that it really doesn’t work.  Not so great. You have just undone what you really wanted to happen.

 

In order to activate the Universal Law of Attraction so it can bring you what you want, you need to discipline your thinking. While it is possible for you to receive your good as soon as you think about it, that is does not usually happen. It usually takes time for your good to show up in your life. If you keep changing what you are thinking (putting in some worries and doubts), then you are really asking the law to bring you different things.

 

This is one of the most important aspects of the Universal Law of Attraction that you need to understand. It doesn’t know the difference between you thinking about something that you really want and you thinking about something that you really don’t want. It acts on your thoughts — positive or negative.  It doesn’t know the difference between positive and negative thoughts. It only knows how to act on your thoughts. You need to keep your thoughts focused on your desire long enough for the law to be able to bring it to you. 

 

Here are some ways that You Can successfully work with the law –

 

Decide what you want – Make sure you are specific about what you want. If you want a job, what are the elements of a job that would make you happy? If you would like to have a wonderful relationship, what qualities would your perfect partner have? If you want to receive more money, determine how much money you want.

 

Visualize your success – Spend some time each day visualizing yourself having received your good. See yourself being happy in your new job.  Imagine yourself having a wonderful time with your perfect partner. Feel how wonderful it is to be financially prosperous. Put in as much positive emotion as you can. 

 

Use words of affirmation – Throughout the day, say words of affirmation that are related to your desire. “I am so grateful that I have a wonderful job.” “I am thrilled that I am in a wonderful relationship.” “I am thankful that I am now prosperous.”

 

Control your negative thoughts – Any time you start to worry that your good is not going to happen say, “I know it is on its way to me because the law always works.”

 

You need to work with the law in the correct way to allow it to work for you.  Follow these steps faithfully and watch your good appear.
